Most of the time we use both words assuming that both are source of stay during touring. Both offer different amenities and are designed for different purposes. Let us have a look what is the differences between Hotel and Motel.


Hotel is the place which provide different facilities like rooms to stay,food items, conference halls, swimming pool and so on. Hotels are located nearby the famous touring spots and metro cities.Hotels are classified as per their Star rating like 3 star,4 star,5 star. The cost of accomodation and other facilities increases with respect to star rating of hotels. The basic similarity in all these type of hotels is the  room service which is available on single phone call or room bell.

Motel is also a place to stay for travelers on the way of their journey towards final destination. We can say that motel are meant for taking rest before fresh start of next journey. Motels are generally found on highways. Motel is word formed by combining two words, Motor and Hotel. Quiet interesting thing for all of us about Motel.

Both hotel and motel are places for taking a travel break and have rest for some time. Hotel stay is preferred when there is planned tours and having a separate budget for accomodation. You can book hotel rooms for couple of days and have a comfortable stay with all facilities like food court,spa,gym,lush green lawns etc..Otherwise if you have limited travel budget then motel stay will be wise decision and cost effective.

So plan your tour and explore dream destinations across the world. You can choose hotel and motel as per your convenience. Now a days online travel booking sites like trivago,ease my trip could be a better option for booking.
